Interview via E-Mail, Pakito Bolino - Edda Strobl, 27.4.2009

ES:
Is there, generally, any connex between your musical and your visual (put on paper) art? If yes, where do you locate this connection? Lets say, where is the bridge for you?

PB:
THE CONNECTION is inside the intensity of the line for example ..i draw
noizy art ..like a bad xerox machine plug on a old fuzz distorsion .....the
bridge is bring the noize.....

ES:
The method of making music and drawings: is there a similiarity in your method of producing music and (sequential) drawings? Means, do you sort of interpretate music also visually and drawings musically, when working? For me, your drawings (sequences) make a lot of sound and noise...

PB:
I drawn and listening music at the same time ...
Each page are like an improvisation ...just to get lost on paper the same
when you on stage but just alone in front of you page so the neighbourg can
t complain ...hahha

ES:
For me personally, in my artistic practice, music and drawing are kind of mutally dependent. i need to do both: using two completely different languages, which sometimes, for me, have a lot in common. (Plus: for sure its a good trainig for the flexibility of the brain...) Concerning those two languages, does the structure, the rhythm or the gestus of the one language has influence on the other and vice versa in your work?

PB:
Of course and it's why i the end we did animation film and i perform live
soundtrack on the top ...the final connection ...
